Text Highlights

Text Highlights are a feature Squarespace released in the past six months that allow you to add emphasis to a piece of text, either a single word or an entire heading, the choice is yours. Now there’s some next level creativity! From animations that draw your text highlight for a set duration of time, to adding borders, color, and added emphasis, Text Highlights are a designer’s dream!

Shape Blocks

Shape Blocks are pre-made shapes added as blocks on the grid-based layout of Fluid Engine - Squarespace’s best drag-and-drop editor yet! This is a hassle-free way to add captivating motifs, and overlap image and text blocks to create modern, striking layouts. You can set your own Shape Block color, add blur effects, a solid or dotted border line, and more. Shape Blocks are a no code solution to true expressibility and customization.

Section Dividers

Section Dividers allow you to add a border to the bottom of each page section on your Squarespace page. With creativity at the forefront of every design choice at Squarespace, they’ve built a way to inject different shapes, strokes, color, and thickness to the border of each page section. It’s a really fun and visually pleasing way to customize the look and feel of any given page section on a Squarespace website.

Saved Sections

Saved Sections are a god send for web designers. They are Squarespace’s way of saving us time and ensuring that color palettes, font packs, alignment, images, and media are captured and saved for future use! To reuse a page section, simply hover over it in edit mode and click the heart icon. Wahlah…you now saved yourself hours of time and are able to duplicate and reuse Squarespace page sections at will!
