Saving Grace — Central Oregon Support & Advocacy

Project Overview

Saving Grace is a Central Oregon nonprofit dedicated to offering safety, hope, and healing to survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault through shelter, advocacy, legal support, and community education. As the primary provider of violence support services in the region, their website needed to clearly communicate complex, sensitive information in a way that felt compassionate, trustworthy, and easy to navigate for people in crisis or seeking help. saving-grace.org

Coyote Moon Creative partnered with Saving Grace to design and build a Squarespace website that supports both survivors and the broader community. The goal was to create a clear, organized, and empathetic digital experience that makes resources, support options, and next steps immediately accessible — while also supporting ongoing needs like donor engagement and volunteer outreach.

Client Goals

The website redesign and ongoing work centered on several key objectives:

  • Clearly communicate mission, services, and support resources

  • Create a compassionate, trustworthy online presence

  • Make critical information easy to find under stress

  • Support community engagement, volunteering, and donations

  • Ensure the site is accessible and easy for internal updates

Design & Development Approach

The site was built on Squarespace with a strong emphasis on clarity, hierarchy, and emotional accessibility. Design decisions were intentionally simple and structured, allowing visitors — including those in crisis — to quickly find the help they need without distraction.

Key elements of the build included:

  • Clear navigation to support quick access to resources and support options

  • Intuitive layout with accessible typography and spacing

  • Responsive, mobile-ready design for visitors on the go

  • Support for community engagement elements like volunteer info and sponsors

  • Backend simplicity to empower the organization to update content internally

Rather than decorative complexity, the emphasis was on functional clarity — enabling visitors to find help, understand services, and connect with support seamlessly.

Results & Outcome

The finished Squarespace website provides Saving Grace with a compassionate, dependable digital platform that supports survivors, families, and community members. It clearly communicates services and resources, reinforces trust, and strengthens the nonprofit’s ability to engage volunteers, donors, and partners.

Travis proved to be an exceptional designer and communicator through our entire website build. He worked with our review team through multiple stages with a coordinated plan for each website page. His in-depth knowledge of Squarespace provided answers for every question we had, including accessibility features, translations and a custom-coded escape site button created specifically for us. If you're looking for a designer who will take the time to understand your organization's needs, create a fantastic website and go the extra mile, look no further than Coyote Moon! We genuinely endorse Travis' work and professionalism.
